So, I've decided to share my most important professional secret.

It's a certain philosophy that has yielded me the best results as a senior marketer. Especially in the B2D world.

It's what my consulting business is based on.

And it's my new year's gift to this amazing community.


It's very simple.

I don't look for dev watering holes and then push messaging on target personas.

I look for what my target persona loves, and then provide them with a ton of it, allowing them to pull what and whenever they want.


Here's an example.

Devs love to learn from their peers: I'll provide them with super pro, vendor neutral access to all the knowledge on the subject, on different depth levels.

Devs love sharing: I'll provide them with super pro, vendor neutral OSS and other free tools, guidance and support.

You get the point.


Sure, everything is data driven and technically optimized, but the first and foremost priority is not providing just-enough-click-tempting-value - It's about how you develop symbiotic relationships based on empathy, comradery and heart winning trust. That's how you build an empire 💪
